Convair 2-way crossover for B&C DE254TN with 1 x 15" Mid-Bass Woofer
Custom crossover design, for a 1 x 15" full range cabinet. 1 x B&C 15NDL76 (8 ohm) with a single B&C DE254TN on a Faital Pro LTH142.
Low Pass:12dB/octave - 8 ohm @ 1.2 kHz
High Pass: 12dB/octave - 8 ohm @ 5.0 kHz
The filter frequencies on the low pass and high pass are offset to compensate for the difference in sensitivity between the woofer and tweeter. The DE254TN is approximately 12-15 dB louder than a typical 15" woofer in the 2kHz-5kHz region, shifting the crossover point to the top of thie region compensates for the difference in sensitivitiy and rebalances the overall tone.
HF should be connected in normal polarity (Red to and Black to -) this helps ensure smoother phase response over the transition from LF to HF
