Custom crossover 4 ohm LF (2x10") 8 ohm HF BMD-740/750
Convair Electronics Crossover designed for use with a P-Audio BD-D750 Compression Driver to be used with twin 10" or 12" 8 ohm drivers in series to give a 4 Ohm load with sensitivity around 98-99dB. The crossover has a "hi-shelf" EQ with attenuatiuon, this attenuates lower frequencies to the compression driver more than the higher requencies, correcting the natural response of the DE250 to a more desirable EQ, whilst at the same time balancing the output from the P-Audio BD-D750 to that of a pair of typical 10" or 12" drivers in series. This crossover design usually benefits from the Tweeter being wired in reverse polarity. So connect the Negative (Black) Terminal on the tweeter to HF plus output on the crossover. Results will vary according to the frequency response of the woofer you are using it with, so you may wish to try both configurations and listen to which sounds best for your needs.

A two way crossover separates the low and high frequencies to a woofer and tweeter respectively. This results in better sound quality and is essential to protect the high frequency driver.
