Convair Flex 15 (Flex15) Crossover

Convair Electronics Crossover designed for use with the Flex 15 cabinet. We have tested the crossover with multiple HF devices, and this provides a good 'middle ground' solution suitable for use with various 1", 1.4" and 2" compression drivers in conjunction with the SC1064, SC1464 and SC2064 horn flares.

This crossover includes HF attenuation of around 10dB in the lower HF region (suitable for matching a typical 99dB sensitivity woofer with a compression driver with 109dB sensitivity). Also included is a bypass capacitor on the attenuation resistors, this capacitor bypasses the attenuation from around 6-8kHz, providing a lift on the output response to correct the HF drop off present on most standard compression drivers. Final results vary according to compression driver, as impedance in the lower HF region can vary from 6-30 ohms in many instances. You may need to reverse phase the HF device for the best results, we recommend trying both configurations (normal phase and reverse phase) to see which gives you the best results.
